Summary:
Geospatial 102 will show you how use a variety of imagery and image data in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Desktop. The institute will provide examples of using aerial and satellite images in maps, and will show teachers how to create and share their own images for background maps. Teachers will also learn how to use raster data, including topographic maps (LiDAR) and several data sets collected by university researchers.

Topics:
Day 1: using remote sensing imagery in maps (Eyes in the Sky, NASA Neo), imagery in ArcGIS Online, georeferencing with Google Earth
Day 2: using imagery and georeferencing with ArcGIS Desktop, digitizing map features, sharing imagery online
Day 3: using imagery data in ArcGIS Desktop including LiDAR and research data, community atlas projects

Goodies:
All NH teacher participants will receive a $300 stipend

Cost:
Non-credit: Free
CEU: Free (1 credit through Keene State College)
Credit: $220 (1 credit undergrad or grad through Keene State College)
