IPM Monitoring and Trapping Programs

An important component of IPM is monitoring pest populations to know when and where pest populations require management.

UNH Cooperative Extension receives grants through the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets and Food that help us monitor major pests of fruit and vegetable crops in New Hampshire. During the growing season, we set traps in several NH locations for the following crop pests:

Sweet corn insects (European corn borer, Corn earworm, and Fall armyworm)

Squash Vine Borer

Spotted Wing Drosophila More info
