Social Media Ambassador

The mission of the Social Media Ambassadors is to enhance the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension (UNHCE) brand, expand external online communications, and build an engaged member community.  The Social Media Ambassadors actively represent the UNHCE Education Center on social networking sites such Twitter, Facebook, Google +, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Qualifications

  • UNHCE Master Gardener in good standing
  • Ability to commit time to the program
  • Currently active on social media platforms
  • Provide ongoing honest feedback and guidance

Commitment

  • Create awareness and promote UNHCE events by sharing updates linking back to the UNHCE website
  • Actively send tweets, publish comments, share links and/or share photos to communicate your experiences with UNHCE
  • Re-post UNHCE event information, ReTweet and comment on the UNHCE Education Center Facebook page
  • Encourage friends, followers, and fans to register for UNHCE events
  • Provide feedback to maximize UNHCE Social Media efforts to build a vibrant and engaged community of future and current members
  • Actively recruit new fans, followers, and friends

Application Process

Each candidate must complete the online application. Once the completed application is received, the candidate will be scheduled for a 20 minute interview with the selection committee. Terms for Ambassadors will be for one year and current Ambassadors may re-apply for up to two additional, consecutive terms.

  • Accumulate Volunteer Hours
  • Additional training when available to continue and build your technology/social media skills
