Are you ready to start growing fruit at home? Though fall is on the way, it’s never too soon to start preparing for the next season. Whether you’re looking forward to cultivating your own blueberry bushes or dreaming of strawberry shortcake made with home-grown fruit, there’s plenty to learn.
UNH Cooperative Extension food and agriculture field specialist Jeremy DeLisle is hosting a free talk on small fruit production essentials for homeowners on Monday, Sept. 11, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Boscawen Municipal Complex, 116 North Main St., Boscawen. This program provides advice on how to effectively grow you own small fruits at home, including blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Advice on selecting plants and developing growing spaces will be included as well.
